Dr. Dulani Somendrika of the Dept. of Food Science Wins Gold Medal at the SLAYS Open Forum 2019

Dr. (Mrs.) M.A Dulani Somendrika (Senior Lecturer (on contract), , , 91ý) won a gold medal at the “3-minute research presentation competition-3MT” of the 3rd SLAYS open forum organized by 91ý Academy of Young Scientists (SLAYS). She became one of the 10 finalists from more than 100 participants from various scientific disciplines. Dr. Somendrika was awarded the Gold Medal for her performances at the SLAYS International Conference 2019, held at Hotel Taj Samudra on the 16th of October, 2019.

Dr. Somendrika completed her Ph.D. on “Application of Life cycle analysis for quality improvement of cassava-based products using cleaner production technologies” at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, 91ý. Her research was supervised by Prof. Indira Wickramasinghe, Prof. M.A.J Wansapala of Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Applied Sciences, 91ý and Eng. Mr. Sena Peiris Former Director, National Cleaner Production Centre, 91ý. The Ph.D. Project was financially supported by the University grant of the 91ý, 2015 which was received by the principal supervisor Prof. Indira Wickramasinghe, Professor, Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Applied Sciences, 91ý.

Three  Minute  Thesis  (3MT®)  is  a professional and highly engaging international research Communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ).

 

 

2019 SLAYS විවෘත සංසදයේදී ආහාර විද්‍යා අධ්‍යනාංශයේ ආචාර්ය දුලානි සොමේන්ද්‍රිකා රන් පදක්කමක් දිනා ගනී

ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ආචාර්ය දුලානි සොමේන්ද්‍රිකා මහත්මිය 2019 SLAYS විවෘත සංසදයේදී රන් පදක්කමක් දිනා ගන්නා ලදී. ශ්‍රී ලංකා තරුණ විද්‍යාඥයන්ගේ ඇකඩමිය විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද  SLAYS විවෘත සංසදය 2019 ඔක්තෝබර් මස 16 වන දින කොළඹ ටාජ් සමුද්‍රා හෝටලයේදී පැවැත්විණ.
