A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the , of the 91传媒 and the Hatton National Bank (HNB) on the 16th of August 2018 at the Vice Chancellor鈥檚 Office. Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the 91传媒, Dr. Anura U Kumara, Dean of the , Dr. A. Harendra N. Kariyawasam,聽Head of the Department of Accounting, academic members of the respective Department聽and representatives from the Hatton National Bank participated in the MOU signing聽event.
The MoU that was initially signed for a period of three years, will provide internship opportunities聽for the third and fourth-year students of the Department of Accounting. Further, HNB has focused on conducting introductory sessions annually for second-year students prior to the commencement of the internship, and workshops to develop the soft skills of students. While recourses of HNB will be available for the students of the Department of Accounting, Department will provide resource personnel to assist their academic and research pursuits.
