SLUG, is known as the grand festival of 91传媒n university sports. This year the 12th SLUG event is hosted by the University of Wayamba and it was started on Sept 1st. The 91传媒 bagged the Cricket championship while, the University of Kelaniya had to be satisfied with runners-up status.
91传媒 won the toss and they selected to field first. University of Kelaniya only scored 115 runs. K.S.Asanga and L.M.Ketethanna were the only batsmen to succeed. They added 32 and 22 runs respectively to the total.I.D.Karunarathne was the pick of the bowlers. He ended up with a 4 wicket haul. Batsmen of 91传媒 started scoring slowly but the scoring rate boosted up with the 52 run knock by H.A.J.N.Gunathilake from just 40 balls. 91传媒 reached the goal with 5 wickets and 31.1 overs to spare. Both H.M.Y.L.Herath and N.E.Geethanjana grabbed 2 wickets each.
