Mr. Pasan Wijayawardhana, a third-year undergraduate of the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce won the Best Paper Award under the theme of 鈥淧overty and Food Security鈥 at the 15th South Asian Economics Students鈥 Meet (SAESM) 2019. This was held from the 21st to 23rd January 2019 at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo. This was organized by SAESM India, SAESM Pakistan, University of Colombo together with the World Bank. SAESM can be cited as the largest students鈥 Economics conference in the South Asian region. Mr. Wijayawardhana is the only contestant who received an award for 91传媒 at this contest.
