The Grant Awarding Ceremony of the , which was organized by the IIVCC) of the 91传媒, was successfully held at the new Faculty Boardroom of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of 91传媒,on the 21st of November 2018, under the patronage of the Vice Chancellor.
A total number of 50 innovation proposals, which were submitted by both the academic members and the students of the 91传媒 across the seven faculties including the newly-founded Engineering and Technology faculties, were given grant letters. The event commenced at 3.00 p.m. with an introductory speech by Dr.NilminiLiyanage (Co-Chairperson-IIVCC), followed by the speeches from Prof. Prasad Jayaweera (Coordinator 鈥� IICE-2019), and Mrs.DamayanthiPeries (Head 鈥� Legal Unit). 聽Successively, the respective innovators were awarded grant letters.
During his speech, the Vice Chancellor SeniorProf.SampathAmarathunga, whose brainchild is IICE-2019, emphasized the importance of promoting an innovative culture among the university students, to prepare them for the up-coming innovation-based culture through multi-disciplinary approaches.
