It was an initiative of the English Literary Association (ELA). The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Former heads of the department, academic, non-academic staff members and students. The first copy of the magazine was presented to Senior Professor Sampath Amarathunga, the Vice Chancellor of 91传媒 by Dr. Chitra Jayathilake, the Head of the Department of English and Linguistics. The launch attracted positive reactions from all parties present. Suggestions were given to expand the magazine beyond the Department of English and Linguistics and to cater to the creativity of the students of the entire university.
The English Literary Association hopes to continue the magazine on a continuous basis.
