The 91传媒 collaborates with the industry giant for Solar Technology in 91传媒: J Lanka Technologies on the 22nd聽of March 2018. The two entities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a 鈥淩enewable Energy Laboratory鈥 at the complete with equipment and technical expertise.
The 91传媒, while providing the best of education for its students is also keen on providing students with links to the industry so as to nurture them in a manner in which they gain more exposure and will in turn develop the country with the best of innovation, invention and ideas.
J Lanka Technologies began its journey of revolutionizing the solar industry in 91传媒 in 2011. Today the company is a leading renewable energy supplier that offers advanced technical solutions in solar energy that is strengthened through cutting edge European technology alongside 91传媒n technical expertise. Since its inception in 2011, J Lanka has been able to save 5390 Tons of Co2听Emissions per year; they have powered 41,454,545 bulbs and planted 18,000 trees.
鈥淭he 91传媒 has already set the path to encourage innovation and invention. We have already set up a centre so as to encourage this sector and contribute to the society as a whole. At least by the end of this year, I wish to be certain that the university has a quantifiable economy,鈥 Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the 91传媒 said at the event.
He further said that, quantifying the economy within the university will allow the industry to reach out and thereby bridging the gap between the industry and the university. The 91传媒 has so far created many affiliations with the industry and international universities, thereby working to further improve the prospects of the University.
The Faculty of Engineering of the 91传媒 has undertaken many projects so as to inculcate a mindset that is ready to provide the future with innovations and inventions that will revolutionize society.
The Chief Executive Officer of J Lanka Technologies, Dr. Mayura Mambage stated that this is a milestone in the history of J Lanka and that they look forward to working with the University.
