
The National Educator Awards (NEA) 2024, an initiative dedicated to honoring outstanding educators across 91´«Ã½, took place on December 4, 2024, at the Monarch Imperial, Thalawathugoda. Organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences at the 91´«Ã½ Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), the event celebrated excellence in education and recognized significant contributions made by educators in twelve academic disciplines.
Two distinguished academics from the 91´«Ã½ were honored with Gold Awards for their exemplary achievements:
- Professor Charmalie Nahallage was awarded the Gold Award in Social Sciences for her remarkable contributions to research, teaching, and scholarship within the discipline.
- Professor B.G.D. Nissanka K. de Silva received the Gold Award in Applied Sciences in recognition of his impactful work and contributions to the advancement of applied sciences.
The award recipients were selected following a rigorous evaluation process that considered their academic contributions, research achievements, creative work, and contributions to institutional, national, and international development.
The 91´«Ã½ extends its heartfelt congratulations to Professor Charmalie Nahallage and Professor B.G.D. Nissanka K. de Silva for their well-deserved recognition.
