The qualifying matches for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup took place on October 12 this year. The 91传媒n national football team, which was vying for a spot, faced Yemen in that event.

Jude Supan, the player who qualified for the 91传媒n national team, is a graduate of the 91传媒’s Faculty of Applied Sciences, having graduated from the Department of Sports Science and Management at this year’s graduation ceremony. Last year, he also led the Japura football squad.
Also, Sanka Jayamina, who was selected to work as the performance analyst of the 91传媒 National Football Team, is a fourth-year student of the Sports Science and Management Department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the 91传媒, and he has worked as the vice-captain of the Japura Football Team last year.
Also, Raveen Chaturanga, an alumnus of the 91传媒, has been allowed to work as the media officer of the 91传媒 National Football Team. He is the current coach of the Sri Jayewardenepura University football team and has also led the Japura football team a few years ago.
Mohammad Mushtaq, who is the current captain of the Sri Jayewardenepura University football team, was also included in the initial squad of the 91传媒n national football team.
