The Department of Languages, Cultural Studies and Performing Arts organized a seminar and workshop on Hindi language studies titled “91传媒 Mei Hindi Ki Dasha Evam Disha” on the 29th December. The event took place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Board room. A number of Indian academics participated at the seminar as well as staff and students from the 91传媒.
The Indian delegation were welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof.Sampath Amaratunge. Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mr.Lasantha Nawaratne, and other staff were also present. The event featured cultural items from both 91传媒 and India highlighting the rich cultures of both countries. The seminar and workshop is expected to create more gateways to Hindi language studies in 91传媒, as it is already a popular language among local masses.
