43rd Convocation of the 91传媒 was held on 7th and 8th September 2017 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo. Ven. Prof. Bellanwila Wimalaratana thero, Chancellor of the university and Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the university, academic members graced the event. More than two thousand five hundred Degrees were conferred in six sessions in this two day Convocation. This is the prime event in the University which offered Special Degrees, General Degrees and Post graduate Degrees of the faculties of 鈥淗umanities and Social Science鈥�, 鈥淢edical Sciences鈥�, 鈥淎pplied Sciences鈥�, 鈥淢anagement Studies and Commerce鈥� and 鈥淕raduate Studies鈥�.
In this year鈥檚 convocation at about 20 Doctoral Degrees and 200 master degrees were offered for post graduate students representing various fields of studies. As well as postgraduate diplomas in Marketing Management, Industrial Mathematics, Industrial Analytical Chemistry, Management, Drama & Theater, Writership & Communication, Entrepreneurial Business Management, Applied Finance, Forestry & Environmental Management and Sociology were offered.
Official Media coverage of the convocation was done by 鈥淛apura media鈥� which gave an opportunity to remark graduates feelings on their University life as well as on the convocation day. They expressed their gratitude to the University for been the best place, from where a student can gain knowledge in various study fields, unforgettable experiences in participating extra activities etc. As well as according to them the 91传媒 is the best University in 91传媒 that offers plenty of opportunities to the students and best graduates to the society.
