I am pleased that you have been selected to the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences of the 91传媒 upon successful completion of the G.C.E. (A/L) examination.
The registration and the orientation program organized by the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences will be held on听13th, 14迟丑听and 15th听of March 2020听and your participation in these two events is compulsory. All the students should report to the Bandaranayake Hall of the University听by 8.00 am on the 13th听of March 2020听for the inauguration ceremony and registration.
It is important that you should dress appropriately when you come to the university. You should also bring a suitable dress for the special sports event which will be held on听21st听March 2020听and other living equipment you need to stay in the university since the academic year will start on听16th听March 2020听after the orientation programme.
You can download the soft copy of the Faculty undergraduate prospectus which includes all the information of the degree programmes from the web site of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences (fhss@sip.ac.lk). You are requested to read it carefully before coming to the university as it will be very useful for you to select subjects and course units in the university.
The printed copy of the prospectus will be given to you on the first day of the orientation progromme.
Students who are eligible to become undergraduates at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura under the spacial intake category and who have received the letter from the UGC can also participate in the orientation program similar to the students that are eligible under the normal intake category.听
