Applications are invited from those who are qualified to follow the Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) conducted by the Staff Development Centre of the 91��ý (SDC/USJP).

This course is specially designed for the university academic staff. It is a qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission to fulfill the requirement to apply for confirmation after completion of the probationary period of university academics. This course is also designed to support career development of the academics in the university system. The course is scheduled to commence in November 2022.

11. Strategic Planning and Management for Universities

Learning methods	: Face-to-face sessions, group activities, online sessions, E-learning and self-learning Two sessions of 3 hours on a week day
Course fees	: Rs.50,000/= (to be paid before the commencement of the course)
Method of application	: The application form can be downloaded from: An application fee of Rs. 500/= should be paid to the 91��ý (A/C No. 097-1001-6-2315454 at Peoples Bank, Gangodawila) and the bank slip should be submitted along with the application.
	The completed application along with the bank slip should be scanned and sent to the SDC email: office.sdc@sjp.ac.lk�� on or before 30^th September, 2022.

The Staff Development Centre of the 91��ý (SDC-USJP) signed an MOU with the International Institute of Knowledge Management (IIKM) in collaborating as the hosting partner for the International Conference on Global Education and E – Learning (GLOBED 2017). This occasion was marked with the presence of Professor Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the 91��ý, Dr. R. B. Marasinghe, Director of the Staff Development Centre, 91��ý and Mr. Isanka P. Gamage, Managing Director of the International Institute of Knowledge Management.

The International Conference on Global Education and E Learning 2017 (GLOBED 2017) is scheduled to be held from 10th – 11th October, 2017 in Colombo, 91��ý.

A workshop was organized by the library in collaboration with SDC on “” on 18th November 2015 and was held at the Accounting Resource Center. The resource person was Dr. Diljit Singh, Retired Professor, Department of Library and Information Science, University Malaya, Malaysia. This workshop was aimed early career researchers and doctoral students who have almost completed their research studies and are planning to submit their work for publication.
