Calling for applications –  2022 (2nd  Batch)  2 2

Applications are invited from those who are qualified to follow the Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) conducted by the Staff Development Centre of the 91ý (SDC/USJP).

This course is specially designed for the university academic staff. It is a qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission to fulfill the requirement to apply for confirmation after completion of the probationary period of university academics. This course is also designed to support career development of the academics in the university system. The course is scheduled to commence in November 2022.

Course duration : Minimum 6 months

3.     Quality Assurance in Higher Education

4.     Teaching and Learning Methods

5.     Teaching Practice

6.     Assessment and Evaluation

7.     Research in Higher Education

8.     ICT skills in Higher Education

9.    Personnel Development and Counseling

10. University Administrative Procedures

11. Strategic Planning and Management for Universities

 

 

Learning methods :  Face-to-face sessions, group activities, online sessions,

E-learning and self-learning

Two sessions of 3 hours on a week day

Course fees :  Rs.50,000/= (to be  paid before the commencement of the course)
Method of application : The application form can be downloaded from:

   An application fee of Rs. 500/= should be paid to the

   (A/C No. 097-1001-6-2315454 at Peoples Bank,     

   Gangodawila) and the bank slip should be submitted 

   along with the application.

The Staff Development Centre of the 91ý (SDC-USJP) signed an MOU with the International Institute of Knowledge Management (IIKM) in collaborating as the hosting partner for the International Conference on Global Education and E – Learning (GLOBED 2017). This occasion was marked with the presence of Professor Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the 91ý, Dr. R. B. Marasinghe, Director of the Staff Development Centre, 91ý and Mr. Isanka P. Gamage, Managing Director of the International Institute of Knowledge Management.
