The at the 91传媒 held its orientation program for the new student intake on April 1, 2025, at the faculty premises. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Senior Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage, the Registrar, Mr. A.B. Weliwita, the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Prof. Renuka Nilmini, along with Deans of other faculties, Heads of Departments, and academic staff.

The program aimed to introduce students to the university and the faculty’s structure, expectations, and academic environment. The Vice Chancellor and the Dean addressed the gathering, highlighting key aspects of the faculty and the importance of adapting to current developments in technology and higher education.

The orientation serves as the starting point for students to engage with the university鈥檚 academic and administrative processes. The Faculty of Technology will continue to support students as they begin their academic journey.

The ceremony was held at the Sri Sumangala Auditorium of the University and was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the 91传媒; Senior Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage , the Registrar; Mr.A.B. Weliwita, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing; Prof. Prasad M. Jayaweera; and Deans of other faculties, Heads of Departments, as well as the academic members of the faculty.

The event was designed to provide an introduction to the university and the faculty for new students. Vice Chancellor, Senior Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage , along with Dean, Prof. Prasad M. Jayaweera, addressed the students, sharing insights on the current context of the faculty and the manner in which the faculty and students must move forward with progressive technology to further improve their university lives.

The program gives students an opportunity to learn about the university and the faculty. The Faculty of Computing looks forward to welcoming its new intake and is excited about the journey ahead.
