USJ signs MoU with Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand to start two year MSc program in Management

An MoU was signed by both parties to strengthen collaboration between Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and USJ in relation to a potential scholarship arrangement for a two-year master’s degree program in the School of Management (SOM) of AIT.

Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto, President, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand and other officials from AIT visited the 91��ý (USJ) on 13th February, 2023. The delegation of AIT included Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Executive Director, Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs, AIT, Mr. Voravate Chonlasin, Executive Director, AIT Extension, Dr. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Chairman-Academic Senate, Director, Special Degree Programs and Professor of Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and GIS and Ms. Sirikate Owasit, Senior Advancement Officer, Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs.

They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Upul Subasinghe, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the 91��ý, Prof. Amila Jayarathne, Director, International Affairs Division, and Dr. Sandamali Galdolage, Coordinator of the International Affairs Division to the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce.

Prof. Subasinghe provided a brief introduction about the University followed by a brief introduction about AIT by Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe.

The MoU signed enables a graduate of USJ to apply for a half scholarship in the following three masters programmes offered by AIT.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
M/M.Sc. in International Finance
M/M.Sc. in Business Analytics and Digital Transformation

MBA Programs New Intake – 2016

The Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Management (MPM) and Master of Science (MSc) in Management are two year full-time postgraduate degree programs of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce offered through the Faculty of Graduate Studies of the 91��ý.

Candidates will be given choices to do the degree in one of the following fields.
Master of Science (MSc) in Management
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
MBA (Human Resource management)
MBA (Information Systems)

Inauguration of PhD/ MBA/ MPM/ MSc in Management programme

University of Sri Jayawardenepura (USJ) held an Inauguration programme for PhD/MBA/ MPM/MSc in Management recently at Waters Edge Battaramulla.
The Chief Guest was founder of Janashakthi Insurance Chandra Schaffter, Vice Chancellor Professor S. P. P. Amaratunge and Course Co-ordinator Professor Kennedy D. Gunawardena, acting Dean Professor Mrs. S. Ekanayake and other faculty members and students participated.
