The Master of Science in Public Policy and Management – MSc (PPM) is designed, for those who are aspiring a career in management in government and non-government sectors.

The Degree allows students to enhance their understanding of the theory and practice of Public Management and hopes to boost their performance as a manager / an administrator in their organizations. The programme is offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies through the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, 91��ý.

Objectives of the programmes

• To enhance knowledge, competencies and nurture positive attitudes in the spheres of Public Management and Public Policy.
• To sharpen the expertise in managing resources, adopting innovative and effective service delivery mechanisms to improve the public sector productivity with a strong sense of public purpose and integrity.
• To assist government officers who are anticipating career promotions and career progression.

Target Group

Entry Qualifications

• A Special Bachelor’s Degree with a Class in Management/ Management Related disciplines, Law from a recognized University or
• A Special Bachelor’s Degree in any of the above subject areas from a recognized University with one-year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
• A General Bachelor’s Degree with a Class in any of the above subject areas from a recognized University with one-year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
• A General Bachelor’s Degree in any of the above subject areas from a recognized University with two years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
• A Special Bachelor’s Degree with a Class in any other subject areas from a recognized University with one-year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
• A Special Bachelor’s Degree in any other subject areas from a recognized University with two years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
  A General Bachelor’s Degree with a Class in any other subject areas from a recognized University with two years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
• A General Bachelor’s Degree in any other subject areas from a recognized University with three years post-qualifying experience in the relevant field/s or
• A Postgraduate Diploma of a duration of not less than one year or Higher Degree in Management Studies from a recognized University or
  Professional qualification/ membership with three (03) years post-qualifying experience approved by the senate (SLIATE, HNDA, HNDM/C, ICASL, CIMA, ACCA, CIE, Attorney at Law); or Professional qualification with five (05) years post-qualifying experience approved by the senate (SLIM,IPM,CIM,ACIB,AIB).

The program is enriched with a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge of nearly 320+ hours of course work, 120+ hours of practical classes, workshops, industrial visits and one year research component. The course aims at training much needed polymer scientists, polymer technologists, quality control officers, and plant managers for the booming   91��ýn rubber and plastics industry.

Lectures will be conducted during weekends and practical classes on Friday evenings
