Google Classroom mobile app

Google Classroom mobile apps are available for and devices. The apps let users take photos and attach them to their assignments, share files from other apps, and support offline access.

What can you do with Classroom?

  • Create and manage classes, assignments, and grades.
  • Give direct, real-time feedback and grades.
Students
  • Keep track of classwork and materials.
  • Share resources and interact in class stream or by email.
  • Submit assignments.
  • Get feedback and grades.

Sign in for the first time

  1. Go to and clickSign In.Click Sign In
  2. Staff members can enter your sjp.ac.lk username and students can use your Gmail username. and clickNext.
    Remember: Your 91ý username might look likeyou@sjp.ac.lk.Click Next
  3. Enter your password and clickSign in.Click Sign in
  4. If there is a welcome message, read it and clickAccept.Click Accept

How Teachers can create a Class?

  1. Go to.
  2. Click AddAddand thenCreate class.Click Create class
  3. Enter the class name.Enter class name
  4. (Optional) Enter text, such as grade levelor class time.
  5. (Optional) Enter a subject or click one from the list that appears when you enter text.
  6. Create.

How Students Join a class?

  • At the top, click AddAddand thenJoin class.Add
  • Enter the class code your teacher gave you and clickJoin.
    A class code consists of 6 or 7 letters or numbers. For example,hjhmgrkǰg5gdp1.

Google Classroom vs LMS

Some educators say that Google Classroom is not a . In fact it is better than traditional LMS, because google classroom makes it easy for students and lecturers to connect—inside and outside of lecture rooms.

You can still use our LMS based on Moodle at to distribute your presentations (PowerPoint slides) while Google Classroom based on Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms, GMail, YouTube) can be used to interact with students and to grade assignments.
