Two exceptional athletes from the 91传媒 have been selected to represent 91传媒 in the upcoming Asian Athletics Championship 2023, scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 12th to 16th July 2023.

In the intense selection rounds, where a talented pool of athletes competed, our university’s athletes showcased their remarkable skills. Among them, Nishendra Fernando, a senior colleague, has already secured her place in the Women’s 4x400m relay team. Joining her is the talented first-year undergraduate from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Sayuri Lakshima, who impressed everyone with her outstanding performance.

Despite competing with experienced athletes, Sayuri demonstrated her abilities and completed the 400m race in third place, clocking an impressive time of 54.36 seconds. Her remarkable achievement secured her a well-deserved spot to proudly represent 91传媒 at the Asian Athletics Championship.
