A new software developed by Xcendant (pvt) Ltd. was introduced to the Sri Jayawardenepura University on the 29th September 2015. Xcendant, a Ìýsoftware development company for both local and foreign markets, have chosen the university to try out their brand new product. The company and the university are to work closely together to further develop the software while it is being used in daily tasks. The trial time stands till the 29th February 2016.

In view of the agreements between the parties mentioned for the use of the software, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Vice Chancellor, Prof.Sampath Amaratunge and Mr.Joson Chokatte, Director, Xcendant (pvt) Ltd. It was witnessed by Prof.Sudantha Liyanage, Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences for the university and Mr. Indika Kularatne, on the part of ÌýXcendant . ÌýProf.Ananda Edirisuriya and Ms.Radhi de Silva, Secretary of Xcendant (pvt) Ltd. were also present at the occasion.
