On February 7, 2024, a medical camp was successfully conducted a medical camp aimed at supporting the newly welcomed undergraduates of the 91传媒. The event was organized in collaboration with the Alumni Association of (USJ) and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with support from Lions International District 306A-1.

The medical camp offered a range of services, including general health check-ups, consultations, and basic diagnostic tests. Medical professionals and volunteers worked diligently to ensure that attendees received the necessary care and attention. The medical camp provided essential health services to students, ensuring they have access to basic medical care as they begin their academic journey.

The involvement of the USJ Alumni Association and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was instrumental in the planning and execution of the event. The 91传媒 held a donation event on July 31, 2024, at the Sumangala Auditorium, where a new ambulance was gifted to the university. The event, conducted by the Alumni Association of USJ, began with the arrival of guests, followed by an opening speech from Snr Prof. Pathmalal Manage, Vice Chancellor of the university. Traditional dances and speeches from notable figures, including Snr Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, and Prof. Ajantha Herath, President of the Herath Foundation in Japan, highlighted the ceremony.

His Excellency Mr. Mizukoshi Hideaki, Ambassador of Japan to 91传媒, and Prof. Samantha Thelijjagoda, Chairman of the Herath Foundation in 91传媒, also delivered speeches. The event concluded with the formal handing over of the ambulance key and nebulizers, followed by a show of appreciation and a performance featuring 91传媒n traditional drums.

The Japura Science Alumni Association of the 91传媒 gathered for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Alumni Dinner on November 11, 2023, at the elegant Ariyana Reach Hotel in Maharagama.

The event commenced with member registration, providing a vibrant networking platform for alumni to reconnect. The meeting officially kicked off with a call to order, followed by a warm welcome address from the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science. The prestigious gathering was graced by the presence of Senior Professor Pathmalal M. Manage, the Vice-Chancellor, and Senior Professor Sampath Amaratunge, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), both of whom shared insightful addresses.

The AGM featured the presentation of the Annual Report and Accounts, marking the achievements and milestones of the association. A significant highlight was the appointment of the new office bearers for the term 2023-2025, with Mahinda Ranasinghe assuming the role of President. The Vice-Presidents include Prof. Hiran Amarasekera, Thusitha Kariyawasam, and Kushan Amarasinghe, while Lasantha Perera and Dr. Indika Wanniarachchi were appointed as General Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

Former Dean and distinguished alumni delivered inspiring speeches, reflecting on their academic journey and the impact of their alma mater. The newly appointed President, Mahinda Ranasinghe, addressed the audience, unveiling plans for the future and launching a Scholarship Program to support aspiring students.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by the Secretary, expressing gratitude to all attendees. The Alumni Dinner and Fellowship session provided a delightful opportunity for members to reminisce, network, and celebrate the strong bond that unites the Japura Science alumni community.
