USJ Students Secure Second Place at SLESA “Future Founder” Bootcamp 2024

The SLESA “Future Founder” Young Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2024 concluded with students from the 91´«Ã½ earning second place in the university category. The team presented an automatic system designed for the early detection of Non-Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (NPDR). This innovative product contributed to their final score of 87.3, placing them just behind Pegasus, the first-place team with 90.1 points.

The competition assessed participants across several criteria, including product-market fit, business model, MVP implementation, customer engagement, and presentation skills. The USJ students excelled in areas such as MVP implementation and the pitch deck, which played a significant role in their ranking. The event highlighted the creative potential of young entrepreneurs in 91´«Ã½, emphasizing the importance of innovation in addressing real-world challenges.
