ශ්රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ සමඟ කෘෂිකර්ම, ඉඩම්, වාරිමාර්ග, ධීවර, සත්ත්ව නිෂ්පාදන සහ සෞඛ්ය සහ ගොවිජන සංවර්ධන අමාත්යංශය, බස්නාහිර පළාත, විශේෂ අපදා පර්යේෂණ මධ්යස්ථානය, ඉන්දියාවේ ජවහලානේරු විශ්වවිද්යාලය, කළමනාකරණ අධ්යයන හා වාණිජ විද්යා පීඨයේ රාජ්ය පරිපාලන අධ්යයනාංශයේ ආදී විද්යාර්ථන්ගේ සංගමය එක්ව සංවිධානය කරන ලද තිරසාර සංවර්ධනය සඳහා වූ පාලනය පිළිබඳ අන්තර්ජාතික සමුළුව 2018 ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 06 වැනිදා සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විය.
International Conference on Governance for Sustainable Development (ICGSD 2018), organized by the of the , of the 91ý in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Land, Irrigation, Fisheries, Animal Product & Health, and Agrarian Development, Western Province, 91ý, NAPSIPAG, Special Centre for Disaster Research (SCDR), Jawaharlal Nehru University, India and the Alumni Association of Public Administration (AAPA) of the 91ý, was held on 6th October 2018 at Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.
More than 150 participants including national and international authors, policymakers, administrators, politicians, Journalists, and academics joined the conference. After the inaugural session, a brainstorming session on “Governance for Sustainable Development- Lessons learned from MDGs & a way forward to SDGs” and four parallel technical sessions were held.
For the Second day, another two brainstorming sessions on “Public Policy on Disasters and Agriculture” and “Gender, Disasters, and SDGs” were held at Gannoruwa Agriculture Research Institute, Kandy.
