The inauguration ceremony of the conference will be held on 21st September 2023 at the senate board room of the university from 9.00 am onwards as a hybrid event. \nThis years conference is hosting for the fourth time by the Department of Anthropology in collaboration with Ā the UNESCO ā€“ 91“«Ć½ National Commission. Abstracts were called under the theme of ā€˜Preserving and Safeguarding Cultural Heritage through Traditional Insightsā€™ and 563 abstracts were received according to the subthemes of Cultural Tourism\, Oral Traditions and Expressions\, Performing Arts\, Social Practices\, Rituals and Festive Events\, Traditional Craftmanship\, Traditional Food and Agriculture\, Traditional Medicine and Traditional Technologies. \nThe inauguration ceremony will be graced byĀ Senior Prof. Pathmalal M.
