Applications are invited from interested candidates for the PGD/MSc in Industrial Mathematics (SLQF 9/SLQF 10) offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies through the Department of Mathematics, 91传媒.

Program Objectives:

Provide an in-depth knowledge in Industrial Mathematics with an emphasis on Mathematical Modeling, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, and Scientific Computing.
Provide opportunities for research in applications of Mathematics to existing problems in the industry.

Target Group

Those who need academic qualifications in Mathematics.
Those who are employed as teachers and lecturers in academic institutions and engineers and professionals in computational fields, banks, and business fields.

Course Structure and Duration:

Post Graduate Diploma (SLQF 9)

Online & Face-to-Face Lectures and Practical Classes
One Academic year (Two 15-week Semesters)

MSc (SLQF 10)

Online & Face-to-Face Lectures and Practical Classes
Research Project (One year)
Two Academic years (Four 15-week Semesters)

Classes will be conducted during weekends.

*聽In addition, a library fee, an examination fee and registration fee should be payable at the time of registration.

Minimum Admission Requirements

Bachelor鈥檚 Degree with Mathematics as a component preferably BSc (Honors) in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science, BSc (Engineering), or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university, acceptable to the FGS and the Department of Mathematics.

Tentative Date of Commencement: October 聽2023

A written examination and/or an interview may be held to select the candidates for the program.

The program will be offered only if at least 20 candidates are registered.
