Applications are invited for two (02) Program Assistant positions for the BSc (Hons) in Polymer Products Manufacturing and Industrial Management (External) Degree Program conducted by the Department of Polymer Science in collaboration with the External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit (EDECU), 91ý.

Position 1: Program Assistant – Department of Polymer Science

Requirements

  • At least 03 C passes in one sitting for G.C.E. A/L in Science or Technology stream
  • At least Science-based NVQ level 5 or higher qualification
  • Good communication skills in Sinhala and English
  • Basic ICT skills
  • Ability to maintain good rapport with academic and industrial stakeholders
  • Minimum two years of experience (permanent or contract basis) at the level of a Management Assistant in a government university or equivalent capacity will be considered an added advantage

Working Schedule

  • Weekend on-site work (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Weekday evening online coordination duties
  • Additional weekday duties as required

 

Position 2. Program Assistant – EDECU

Requirements

  • At least 03 C passes in one sitting for G.C.E. A/L in Science, Management or Technology stream
  • Good communication skills in Sinhala and English
  • Basic ICT skills
  • Ability to maintain good rapport with academic and administrative staff
  • Prior experience at the level of a Management Assistant or equivalent capacity will be considered an added advantage

Post of Coordinator (Part Time) for E-Learning and IT Literacy

Applications are invited for the Post of Coordinator (Part Time) for E-Learning and IT Literacy from those who are teachers of this University and belong to the rank of Senior Lecturer (Grade II) and above, at the Staff Development Centre.

According to the Commission Circular No. 937 of 10.11.2010, the following tasks are expected from the coordinators.

  1. Training on ICT Literacy for academic and non-academics
  2. Training on use of ICT tools in teaching, learning and evaluation
  3. Training and expert advice on preparation of ICT based learning material

The term of the office of the coordinator shall be for 3 years and the coordinator will be entitled to allowance of 10% his/her basic salary during the tenure of the office.

සටහන : අයදුම්කරුවන් තම ඉපයීම් වලින් 10%ක් විශ්වවිද්‍යාල අර්ථසාධක අරමුදලට ගෙවිය යුතු අතර, විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය මගින් එකී ඉපයීම් වලින් 15%කට සමාන මුදලක් විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය අර්ථසාධක අරමුදලට හා 8%කට සමාන මුදලක් විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය විශ්‍රාම ෶ැට෶϶් අරමුදලට බැර කරනු ලැබේ. එයට අමතරව 3%ක මුදලක් විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය මගින් සේවා නියුක්තයන්ගේ භාරකාර අරමුදලට බැර කරනු ලැබේ.

අවශ්‍ය විස්තර සඳහන් නොකිරීම, අපැහැදිලිවීම හෝ අයදුම්පත් නියමිත දිනට පසුව ලැබීම, සුදුසුකම් හා පළපුරුද්ද සනාථ කිරීම සඳහා අදාළ සහතික වල ඡායා පිටපත් උඩුගත (Upload) කර නොතිබීම හෝ වෙනයම් අවශ්‍යතාවයක් සපුරා නොතිබීම අයදුම්පත් ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කිරීමට හේතු වේ. යම් තනතුරක් සඳහා අයදුම්පත් විශාල සංඛ්‍යාවක් ලැබුණු අවස්ථාවක අවස්ථාවෝචිත ක්‍රමයක් අනුගමනය කරමින් අයදුම්කරුවන් සීමා කිරීමක් සිදු වේ.
