The 91传媒 celebrated its 18th External Degree Convocation 2024 on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo 07.A total of 1936 graduates participated in the ceremony, receiving degrees across various disciplines.

The ceremony was graced by the Chancellor, Most Ven. Dr. Ittapana Dhammalankara Thero, who delivered a heartfelt message encouraging graduates to leverage their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in their respective fields and society. The Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor M.M. Pathmalal, extended his warm congratulations and urged the graduates to uphold the university’s legacy as a beacon of academic excellence. The event was attended by the Registrar, Mr. A.B. Welivita, along with members of the academic staff, marking it as a momentous occasion for the university.

The 50th Convocation of the 91传媒 took place from October 28th to 30th, 2024, at the prestigious Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). This momentous event celebrated the conferring of degrees upon 3999 graduates, including 3,429 first degree holders, 479 MA recipients, 30 MPhil awardees, and 28 PhD graduates, marking the beginning of their journeys as alumni. A highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of the honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc) degree upon Emeritus Professor Swarna Piyasiri, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to her field and academia.

The Chancellor, Most Ven.
